Who is ready to rock in 2020? Are you looking to improve your photography skills or perhaps to push yourself a little so you can grow as an artist? Well we have a few things planned that we think will help you do just that, starting with a monthly photo challenge.

The Photography Monthly Challenge

Every 1st of the month, in our Newsletter we will be introducing a new photography related theme to encourage and inspire you to shoot more. Some months the theme will be a technical challenge and other times it will be more of an inspirational one. You’ll have 1 month to share these images you make, on Instagram using the assigned hashtag. On the 15th of the following month we will choose our favourites from the hashtag and share them here on the Illuminate blog.

The past couple of months the challenge/theme has been LIGHT (we announced it on Instagram in November already). Simply use #illuminate_light on Instagram for a chance to be featured. You have until March 8th (we’ve extended the deadline for this theme) to take new photos or share old ones and don’t forget to add the hashtag so we can see/find them. You can interpret the theme however you want- think artificial light, sun flare, rim light, side light, low light... and the list goes on.
