Class Overview:
The fact is, you either run your business or your business runs you.
When you started off as a family photographer you likely had ideals, goals, and visions that were thwarted by circumstances out of your control. You got hired by clients that just didn’t get you (or may not have even truly known what they wanted). You got hired by the “right” people but your “dream” session was sabotaged by a hangry 3-year-old. You found yourself so buried by sessions needing to be edited, and emails needing to be returned you forgot why you got into this work in the first place. Without meaning to, you let your ideals go out the window as your business was steamrolling you.
But what if you learned that these circumstances are actually not out of your control? What if you learned that there is, in fact, a method to the madness that is running a family photography business? This class will help put YOU in control of your family photo sessions. By confidently maintaining control from the beginning, saying the right words, and preparing your clients each step of the way, you’ll not only stay on track with your vision, you’ll set your clients at ease to be themselves in front of your camera. This class will help you attract the clients YOU want to be shooting and will work with you to develop a course map that will ensure your clients are so delighted they not only come running back for more but send their friends your way as well. What you will learn:
Explore how to run a thriving family photography business that fulfills your needs and your clients.
You will learn how to define your ideal session and map out how to get what you want from your clients while giving them what they want.
Posy will walk you through her workflow from initial contact, preparing her clients for the photo session, to the final goodbyes (which are not truly goodbyes if you do your job right!).
Posy will share her email templates, session prep guide, and other tools for preparing clients for their session (and keep them coming back for more), Posy will then guide you through creating your own.
You’ll learn Posy’s tried-and-true approach to working with clients; Posy will teach you how to embrace disorder and give you the tips and tricks to navigate worst-case scenarios when they occur.
Class Mechanics:
Three weeks of interactive learning (and laughing) which will include:
An intentional community built with the idea that we learn better together. In other words questions and thoughtful interaction are highly encouraged!
Daily interaction and discussion with me on the lessons and topics we’re exploring. Written weekly lessons including assignments (which result in tangible materials you will use to run your business) with accompanying videos.
Thorough responses and feedback from me on each assignment.

This class is for anyone with an established family photography business or any photographer who plans on starting a family photography business.
